Project Overview

Bored Farms is a mobile platform that empowers users to efficiently manage their crypto mining operations, enabling them to track profits, monitor miners in real time, manage crypto assets, withdraw earnings, and pay invoices with ease.

Discovery Problem & Solution

From Web Platform to Mobile App: Asset Management & Real-Time Monitoring on the Go

Bored Farms already had a web-based crypto mining management platform. I took the existing system, translated its core features to mobile, and developed them further into a dedicated mobile app (mobile only, the web platform stayed as it was), aligning with the client's goal to give users greater accessibility and usability on the go.

The Process

Design Sprint

Using a structured Design Sprint approach, we audited the existing platform, mapped key flows like profit tracking and withdrawals, and rapidly prototyped the experience. We then crafted a clean, light-themed UI tailored for crypto users, continuously refining the design through stakeholder feedback.

The Results

Designs in Action

Key features include real-time miner tracking, profit dashboards, one-tap withdrawals, and simple invoice management. Built within a bright, light-themed UI, these tools provide users with complete clarity and a smooth visual experience.

Key Takeaways

Bored Farms was my first fintech project and my first time leading a design team. Designing for crypto meant making money-related actions, like withdrawals and invoices, feel clear and trustworthy, while keeping real-time miner data easy to read.

The client already had a web platform, so I translated it into a mobile app and used the move to fix the web version's usability problems. Turning a dense web experience into a simpler mobile one meant deciding what users really needed on the go, and leading the team through that taught me how to guide design direction while supporting the people working on it.
